SunVista Diagnostics is a growing high-complexity molecular diagnostics laboratory specializing in PCR and precision diagnostic testing. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Technologist / Clinical Laboratory Scientist to join our laboratory team.

This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative and rapidly expanding laboratory environment focused on quality, compliance, and patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-complexity molecular diagnostics testing in accordance with CLIA, COLA, and laboratory policies
  • Process patient specimens and perform test analysis and result reporting
  • Perform and document quality control, instrument maintenance, calibrations, and corrective actions
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues affecting test performance or result accuracy
  • Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation
  • Follow laboratory safety and infection control procedures
  • Assist with workflow optimization and daily laboratory operations
  • Participate in competency assessments and ongoing training programs

Qualifications

  • Must meet CLIA personnel qualifications for high-complexity testing
  • Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Biology, Chemistry, Molecular Biology, or related laboratory science
  • Must possess active Florida Clinical Laboratory Personnel licensure as a Technologist or Supervisor that includes Molecular Diagnostics
  • Experience in molecular diagnostics, PCR, or infectious disease testing preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with molecular platforms and automated laboratory instrumentation
  • Familiarity with quality systems, QC documentation, and regulatory compliance
  • Supervisory or leadership experience is a plus

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate laboratory instrumentation and computer systems
